In our everyday lives, we make major investments…a house, a car, student loans…the list goes on and on. Every one of these investments is valuable in one way or another, and we do what we can to take care of them and ensure their success. After all, we would never invest in a car if we weren’t willing to also invest in its routine maintenance.
Recently, STEALTH’s own Caroline Watson wrote an excellent article on Why Investing in Maintenance Saves Concealment Money. She makes many excellent points, the most important of which is this: maintenance is the easiest, most cost effective way to keep neighbors, landlords, municipalities, carriers and their customers happy. Investing in maintenance is a win/win across the board.
A follow up article by Rienk Ayers of Chameleon Engineering also discusses the importance of investing in concealments. Ayers states, “Carriers make a significant investment when installing camouflage systems, but then practically ignore them when moving on to the next new site.” This must certainly be avoided if everyone involved wants to get the most out of their money. Remember, you worked hard to have that site built, don’t let it fall into disrepair. Make the investment, maintain your concealment, and get the most out of your money.
